-Sighted enemy units
"Enemy surface units sighted," indicated my map, now with a red circle northwest of Olsen Bay.
I veered my aircraft off of the patrol route towards the GPS coords, torpedoes ready...
Wouldn't that be cool?^ These little events (spawning at least 30-50 kilometers from player-controlled bases and 10-20km from player vehicles) pit players against enemy surface units and aircraft over open water and provide a nice break from flying super far to attack stationary and overpowered tanks.
-Escort
Another cool mission would be you having to escort one or more cargo vessels from one place to another, whilst dealing with enemy units trying to stop the convoy.
-New Enemy Types
It'd be nice to have some new and improved enemy AI units to fight, such as:
- Torpedo Bombers: These are planes with torpedoes that attack by flying low, firing torpedoes at player ships, and pulling back up to a higher altitude. (If the target elevation is too high, it will not engage the target)
- Improved Fighter Jets: These need missiles! What's a Typhoon without a missile?: A WWII Hawker Typhoon, and I don't find much enjoyment in fighting them. It'd also be nice if the fighters were more relentless and faster.
- Improved Ships: Fighting enemy ships is nothing to write home about. To fix this, please make the gunners a little smarter. Also, the missile ships should utilize vertical launch missiles rather than a turret. I also find that the main gun gunners hardly ever fire at me. The CIWS is rarely used either, and I'd like to be shot by it.
- Submarines: This is less of a priority since I understand these'd be very complicated. But here's how they could work: they stay submerged, surface, fire torpedoes at you, and dive. Depth charges will have a use finally!
