When playing with railroad cars, they tend to be heavier than other types of vehicles, such as cars or ships. That is probably due to the simulated speed at which the railroad bogie pulls to the rails being too fast. (In fact, they can go through curves at the speed of sound and not derail.)
To solve this problem, I suggest adding a setting to lower the simulated speed at which the train bogie pulls to the rails, similar to the physics setting. For example, High...same as current speed; Medium...1/2 of current speed; Low...1/4 of current speed; and Low...1/4 of current speed.
By providing multiple settings, we eliminate the risk of destroying some existing vehicles.
