The current clamp is 3 blocks wide making it impossible to collect rods by itself from an efficient storage where they would all be next to each other, so i propose to add at least one new one (even has the space for all the logic nodes), see image.

A just 1 block wide would be the handiest. Or one that is 2 blocks wide that would allow to grab rods from the side at least so it can go through a rod storage from the sides.
