At the diesel gantry at the Sawyer South Freight Terminal, selling diesel initially works but pressure builds up over time until it is too much to overcome. Using advanced tooltips, I can see it has reached about 35 atmospheres of pressure. Trying to attach vents and empty tanks to relieve the pressure seems to have no effect.

So sellers just need relief valve to let air out

Recommendation to Devs for easy fix with no recoding: Add a simple pressure relief valve to all the tanks on the vanilla blueprints in game. Can be as a simple as a port inside the tank connected to a gas valve, and a port outside the tank. This will allow the tanks to equalize pressure with the environment and eliminate this issue without any change to base code.
