I am not entirely sure as to why we cannot manually control the naval weapons on the Needlefish?

I think this is fine as it is. It makes things a bit more difficult while solo, but it promotes units working together (having a scout aircraft with a gimbal camera to order support) and allows assault of multiple objectives at once by fewer players due to the automation. Besides, which weapon would you control? The automatic torpedoes, that even set their own activation delay? The CIWS that aims better than the player at fast-moving aerial targets? The cruise missile launcher that is often fired at a target out of view? Or the 160mm gun that can't be controlled on the carrier either?

The automatic torpedoes fail to lead their targets properly, resulting in unnecessary misses against moving targets (especially if said target is moving towards you, and you cannot adjust the activation delay to be earlier to compensate for its movement towards you).
The CIWS does not necessarily NEED to be aimed manually, but given the CIWS can be aimed manually when equipped on Walruses and Seals, I fail to see why you couldn't aim it manually when on a Needlefish.
The deck gun CAN be controlled on the carrier using the scope, and its ludicrously high damage is a separate problem. Nevertheless accessing the deck gun (or maybe even the CIWS) could make Needlefish vs Needlefish battles more feasible, especially in PvP modes.

I think we should be able to control the Naval Unit Weapons directly. We can do it with all other units, why are they the exception?

Torpedoes are a mess! Please see my suggestion and refine if you have other ideas.
