when ever i load into the game menu the whole background is black i can't even see where the other buttons are

I have tryed pressing tab but it doesn't fix this issue.
I'm currently playing on an iMac (21.5-inch, 2017)
-processor 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
-Memory 8Gb 2133 MHz DDR4
